The Shanksville-Stonycreek School District believes that extra-curricular activities, like sports and clubs, have a positive impact on students both inside and outside of the classroom. Extra-curricular activities help students build skills, develop good habits, make friends, and gain mentors that can boost their self-esteem as well as impart lessons that can be carried on throughout the students' lives.

The Shanksville-Stonycreek School District offers a variety of athletic opportunities for both male and female students.  The district is also in partnership with the Shade-Central City School District to offer additional opportunities as well as co-ops sports with the Berlin-Brothersvalley School District.
