The Viklet

The Viklet is a periodical news-based publication written, designed, and distributed by the students participating in the journalism program at the Shanksville-Stonycreek School District.  The Viklet has been published every year since 1931, when it was called Shanksville Hi-Lites and designed by hand and typewriter.  Over the years, The Viklet has morphed from Stonycreek Hi-Lites to The Nordic to The Viklet.  Publication of The Viklet has also evolved from pens, pencils, rulers, blocks, and typewriters to laptops, scanners, Bizhubs, Photoshop, and In-Design.

Staff members of the 2014-15 Viklet are Jake Arden, Makayla Coughenour, Jacob Meager, Zoe Phillips, Janna Shober, and Kenton Wilt.
